  • In 1992, he began his professional officer's career with the air force in the anti-aircraft recruit school in Payerne as unit instructor
  • In 1997/98, he attended the Advanced Command and Staff Course (ACSC) at the Joint and Combined Staff College in Bracknell (UK)
  • From 2004 to 2006, he led the Joint Doctrine sector in the Armed Forces Planning Staff
