This business jet used to be registered with Aeroleasing Geneva as a civilian plane under the designation of HB-IEP. In December 1995, the former Department of Defence (EMD) bought the three-engine second-hand plane from the Aeroleasing company for UN and OSCE peace-keeping operations and for trips of federal councillors. On 31 January 1996, it was given Swiss national emblems and the new military registration of T-783, was taken over by the air force and stationed in Payerne. Since 1 February 1996, it belongs to the air force. Before this, however, the Falcon 50 had briefly been flown as a leased plane by our air force pilots. In 1999, the jet was modernised with a glass cockpit. The plane is equipped with a Collins Proline 4 type EFIS. After its overhaul in the autumn of 2006, the Falcon was given a new, attractive painting.
