Lightweight surface to air guided missile system Stinger
The SAM system Stinger is a lightweight, man portable and shoulder-fired weapon system. The missile is equipped with a rotating passive infrared seeker head and applies the process of self-target-seeking anti aircraft guided missiles ("fire and forget").
The weapon system consists of:
- missile (launch tube with sight and guided missile)
- gripstock with IFF antenna
- battery / cooling unit
- IFF- interrogator
