  • The twin cockpit is equipped with proven conventional instruments as well as a multi-functional monitor. The flight instruments are designed for both pilot and co-pilot. The latest Super Pumas will be equipped with modern monitors (EFIS).

  • 5 independently functioning radio devices provide radio contact with both military and civilian flight traffic control authorities or with ground forces, police, REGA Swiss Air Rescue , helicopter companies and hospitals.

  • Emergency transponders of military or civil aircraft can be located with the aid of a radio signal direction finder.

  •  For operations abroad, for instance of the disaster relief corps, a high frequency radio system has been installed.

  • An autopilot helps the crew guide the helicopter. The automatic course and altitude steering system provides especially in instrument flight mode significantly enhances flight safety.

  • Some of the fleet is being equipped with a self-protect system.
